Chairman JPDCL reviews power supply scenario ahead of festival Season

Engineers asked to identify, rectify weak spots in distribution networks

 

JAMMU : Chairman, Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL), Jagmohan Sharma, today reviewed power supply scenario in Jammu division here at a meeting with the Superintending Engineers of O&M Circles-Jammu, Kathua, Rajouri and Executive Engineers of concerned Electric and Sub-Transmission Divisions of JPDCL to assess the latest ‘Power Scenario’ particularly vis-à-vis the ‘Troublesome Feeders’ that have a history of frequent tripping.

The meeting was held ahead of the forthcoming pious Navratri and other Festivals coming up in the immediate future.

All the officers who attended the meeting were given instructions to ensure un-interrupted power supply to the public of Jammu province during such period in general and the concerned staff was also directed to ensure smooth supply of power to all the major religious places in Jammu Province and to ‘Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine’, during the forthcoming Navratri Festival.

Further, the concerned officers/staff were instructed to identify and rectify the weak spots in distribution networks under a concerted effort and ensure end to end results particularly in respect of the already identified ‘Troublesome Feeders’ that have a history of frequent tripping. In case of any unprecedented power breakdowns, the officers were instructed to restore power supply within the shortest time possible.

The meeting ended with reassurance by all the concerned staff to work for the welfare of public of Jammu Province, in general.
