Chairperson DDC Ramban dedicates critical care Ambulances to people of Sangaldan, Neel & Rajgarh

 

RAMBAN : Chairperson, District Development Council, Ramban, Dr. Shamshad Shan today flagged off three Advance Life-Saving Ambulances funded by World Bank through National Health Mission, Jammu and Kashmir to Health Centres of Sangaldan, Neel and Rajgarh area of the district, here from District Hospital.

President Municipal Council, Ramban, Sunita Sumbria; DDC Councilor Rajgarh, Mohammad Shafi Zargar; DDC Councilor Ramsoo, Bashir Ahmed Naik; Additional Deputy Commissioner Harbans Sharma; CMO Dr. Mohammad Fareed Bhat; Medical Superintendent DH, Dr. Abdul Hamid Zargar and other officers and staff members were also present on the occasion.

It was informed that these ambulances will be operated by the Bhartiya Vikas Group Ltd. by providing the services of Drivers, Technicians and Doctors and ambulances shall be available to the critical patients round the clock at telephone number 108.

The Chairperson also expressed gratitude towards the Health Department, NHM JK and World Bank for the augmentation of Health Infrastructure at this hour of Medical emergency.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chairperson said that these Ambulances are fully equipped with life-saving equipment such as Ventilators, Defibrillators, Multi-Para Patient Monitor, Suction Machine, Nebulizers etc and are of great help while shifting the critical care, trauma and accident victims.

She said that there are presently 7 Advance Life-Saving Ambulances which have already been deputed at Strategic places across the district and are connected with ‘108’ Call Centre. She said these ambulances would prove to be a great help in saving the life of the patients in case of a medical emergency.

Earlier, the Chairperson inspected the hospital and interacted with the patients admitted in different wards, besides enquiring about health care facilities and availability of medical staff there.
