Chairperson DDC Udhampur flags off 13 volunteers for skill Development training under DDUGKY

UDHAMPUR : Chairperson DDC Udhampur, Lal Chand, today flagged off a batch of 13 volunteers drawn from Panchayat Kambal Danga of district Udhampur to Jammu to undergo skill development training under Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDUGKY) also known as HIMAYAT Scheme run by the union government all over India.

The batch consisted of 11 boys and girls. The trainees will undergo 5 months training in CCE Course at a center in Miran Sahib Jammu.

Apart from that, personality development training to improve communication skills and computer training will also be imparted to the trainees. The entire cost of training, including boarding and lodging, is borne by the government under this scheme. Post completion of the training, the candidates will undergo interviews for placement into various companies.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairperson DDC Udhampur congratulated the students and asked them to join the training with full endeavour. He further urged the other parents to send their children for such skill enhancement training programmes for a better future.
