Chairperson District Development Council Kulgam inspects Grimatoo Canal Dadrikota of District Kulgam

Chairman District Development Council Kulgam Mohd Afzal Parrey today Visited Grimatoo Canal Dadrikota of District Kulgam to take stock of ongoing works there. This canal irrigates 64 Villages of District Kulgam and is the only source of irrigation. The modernization of this canal will be beneficial for the farmers. During the Inspection, he was briefed by the Engineers about the progress made so far.

He was accompanied by Member District Development Council Qaimoh-B Mohammad Abass Rather, Executive Engineer Jal Shakti Department Kulgam, Executive Engineer Irrigation Division Kulgam, JE’s, and PRI’s.

Later on, He also convened a meeting with PRI’s, Local Community in which he was apprised about the positive role played by the departments in making this project a success.
