Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna hosted ‘Women’s Film Festival’

The Department of Art, Culture & Youth, GoB and Bihar State Film Development and Finance Corporation Limited in consultation with South Asia Trust has organized the ‘Women’s Film Festival’ at Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP) on 6th February, 2023.
The event has been attended by Prof.(Dr.) Rana Singh, Director, CIMP ,Prof.(Dr.) Ranjit Tiwari, PGP Chairperson,CIMP, Mr. Pawas Mandhar, South Asia Trust, Mrs. Sangeeta Raman, Actress and Mrs.Sushma Kumari, Officer on Special Duty, Department of Art, Culture & Youth, GoB were on the Dias for the Inaugural ceremony. The event started with a welcome speech by Prof. (Dr.) Ranjit Tiwari, PGP Chairperson,CIMP. He welcomed the guest, other dignitaries and audience. He also said that the movie may be connected with our societal discrimination.
Further this day, Mr. Pawas Mandhar,South Asia Trust, said that the movies highlights about women empowerment.
Later on Mrs. Sangeeta Raman, said that it is very delighted we celebrating this event. Now young generations are also interested in film making, acting, direction, singing and art. 30 years back she was the only 2nd womon announcer in Doordarshan. People need help to promote their art in front on all by making films and documentaries. Mrs. Sushma Kumari, Officer on Special Duty, Department of Art, Culture & Youth, GoB in his address said that these movies are mirror of our society. These movies have power to sensitize us. We have to make balance in society and we need physical as well as mental and intellectual wisdom for the betterment of the society.
Prof.(Dr.) Rana Singh, Director, CIMP extended his gratitude to Smt. Bandana Preyashi ji, Secretary, Art, Culture & Youth Affairs, Govt. of Bihar for organizing this event at CIMP.
Dr. Rana in his address said that we have seen the changes this world, where women has been worshiped. We are enriching in Knowledge, skill and competencies, to the world. It’s time to aware people from our cultural heritage and knowledge.
Two films were screened today by the Department of Art, Culture and Youth, Government of Bihar and Bihar State Film Development and Finance Corporation Limited:
1. Decoding Gender (Bengali)
2. Sita Ke Badalte Roop (Hindi)
Md. Tariq Iqbal, Joint Secretary, Department of Art, Culture & Youth, GoB delivered the Vote of Thanks. In his address he gives a heartfelt thanks to the respected guest and other dignitaries. Faculty members, students, staffs and others distinguished dignitaries were present during the session.
