Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar-based Cherry Blossoms Pre School organises awareness rally in regarding Van Mahotsav on Sunday. Over 100 students joins the awareness rally in Patia.
The Rally was flagged off at 8:30 AM from Patia by the Gayatri Mavuru Trustee of Sri Gayatri Vidya Vikash Education Trust and Director of Cherry Blossoms Pre School. It saw a participation of a large number of nature enthusiasts including students, teachers, volunteers. The Rally took the way through the Patia and Chandrasekharpur Road. They were received by a cheering crowd of little school children who later, along with the volunteers participated in a mass tree plantation. About 200 plants were planted in a field in Chandrasekharpur area.
“The rally was concluded with a plantation ceremony in the premises of school ground . We appeal students and general to plant trees and save the plant. The purpose is to sensitise people to the significance of environment. A rally was taken out to make people’s approach towards environment more meaningful. It will make students aware of the importance of tree plantation and stress that it is the moral duty of every individual to plant trees,” said Gayatri Mavuru Director of Cherry Blossoms Pre School .
General people admire the enthusiasm and vigour of the school children expressed appreciation for the school management for instilling the young minds with the values of conservation through planting of trees and caring for them.
She related how planting of trees is the essence of Indian Culture. She appealed and made known her optimism that the school children are the most important torch-bearers for conservation and are the harbingers of all round prosperity of our Nation.
The Rally was a success and the children and the teachers encouraged the general public to understand their surroundings and become environment friendly.
