Raipur: Providing a major relief to the students and common people of the state, Chief Minister has decided that the caste and domicile certificates will be delivered to the homes of applicants. On instructions of Chief Minister, State Government’s General Administration Department has issued orders to all the District Colllectors to simplify the process of caste and domicile certificate issuance and to provide the facility of doorstep delivery of the certificates.
As per the orders issued, after the issuance of caste and domicile certificate, postal registry fee will be collected from the applicant and the certificate will be sent at the address of the applicants. For this, Public Service Centers and Tehsil Offices will collect will collect the postal registry fee from the applicants and provide reciept of the expense, delivering the certificates on the residence address of the applicants. This will save the applicants for mutliple visits to the aforemention offices. General Administration Department Secretary has directed all the District Collectors to start this facility of doorstep delivery of certificates as soon as possible.
It is noteworthy that Revenue and Calamity Management Department will issue the caste and domicile certificates via tehsil offices, SDO Revenue under Chhattisgarh Public Service Guarantee Act.
