Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel announced land allotment to ICAI’s Raipur branch in Naya Raipur for CA coaching and institute office

Raipur: Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has called upon the CAs associated with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India from across the country to cooperate for strengthening the functioning and financial management of Gram Panchayats and Urban Administration. He has said that there are many forest produce which are unique to Chhattisgarh, which are not produced in other parts of the country. Presently after collection of these forest produce, they are processed outside Chhattisgarh. If the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India takes the initiative to bring investment in Chhattisgarh for its processing, then it will benefit the producers and collectors of the state and by the export of these forest produce needs of other parts of the country will also fulfilled. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel today addressed Chartered Accountants from across the country in a webinar organized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India on the subject ‘Resurgent Chhattisgarh’ from his residence office. He wished everyone a happy CA day in advance.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel announced to provide land to Raipur branch of ICAI for CA coaching institute for students of Chhattisgarh and office building in Naya Raipur. He also released the e-souvenir of the webinar on the occasion.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel welcomed the proposal of cooperation by ICAI in preparing one thousand entrepreneurs of Chhattisgarh for export. He said that Gothan and pasture are being developed in every village of Chhattisgarh. In these, one acre of land has been reserved for the economic and professional activities of women self-help groups. ICAI can tie up with industrialists and women’s groups and prepare quality materials as per their requirement and sell them with their brand. For this work, by giving part of the dividend to the women groups, they can help in providing them a source of income.
Mr. Baghel said that Chhattisgarh has favorable environment for industrial and commercial activities. Skilled and unskilled labourers, land, water and electricity are available here. Giving detailed information about the new industrial policy of the state government, he said that after Kolkata, Surat and Mumbai, a big Gems and Jewellery Park is being built in Raipur. On this occasion, he informed about the efforts made during lockdown period restrict the spread of Covid-19 and to encourage agriculture, industries and business activities by Suraji Gaon scheme, Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, Godhan Nyaya Yojana, Minor forest produce collection, MGNREGA works. The Chief Minister said that last year it has been our experience that Chhattisgarh has been untouched by the global recession as money was put in the pockets of farmers and forest dwellers.This year too, we are giving Rs 5750 crore to farmers under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana. Similarly, Tendupatta is being purchased at the highest price. With this, 31 minor food items are being purchased in the state at the support price. Its effect is visible in the market. 3 thousand tractors were sold in Chhattisgarh, companies are not able to supply the tractor as per demand. ICAI National Chairman Mr. Atul Gupta said that his organization is ready to extend all support to the state government. He proposed to cooperate with the state government in helping to generate new revenues in urban areas, management of panchayats, conducting three years intensive training under CA guidance to students after graduation.
Chartered accountants from across the country participated in this webinar. Principal Secretary of the Department of Industries, Mr. Manoj Kumar Pingua and Mr. Sanjay Shukla, MD, Minor Forest Produce Association, Mr. Atul Gupta, National President of ICAI and Mr. Dheeraj Khandelwal, Chairman, Public and Government Financial Management Committee, attended the event. CA Mr. Kishore Baradia, Chairman of Raipur Branch of Indian Institute of Chartered Accountants and Secretary Mr. Ravi Gwalani were present at Chief Minister’s residence. Officials of Chhattisgarh Chambers of Commerce, CAT and Urla Industries Association were also involved in the webinar.
