Chhattisgarh Government’s big decision: Students from class 1st to 8th and students of class 9th and 11th got general promotion

Raipur: Taking a major decision as part of measures to prevent infection of corona virus (Covid-19), Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has decided to give general promotion to the students from Class I to VIII and students of class 9th and class 11th
in the education session 2019-20. Chief Minister Shri Baghel has given permission for it to Director Public Education.

It is noteworthy that to control the infection of Novel Corona virus in the state, the examinations of High School and Higher Secondary School were also postponed by the state government and all schools were closed from 19 March. After this, the entire Chhattisgarh state was locked down from 20 March.

After that, The Central Government locked down the entire nation from 24 March to 14 April. As the schools remains closed for such a long time, the examinations conducted locally in the schools from class I to class VIII as well as class IX and class XI could not be conducted. It does not seems possible to conduct the examination in the near future. Considering these factors, the state government has decided to give general promotion to the students studying from Class I to VIII as well as Class IX and XI.
