Chief Minister said that now any teacher can teach students of not only one school, but the entire state, through this online platform. Schools have been closed for a long time due to lockdown to prevent infection of the corona virus (Covid-19). For this reason, it has become necessary that children should be provided the opportunity to read, write and learn, while staying in their homes. School Education department of Chhattisgarh Government has launched the facility of ‘Padhai Tunhar Dwar’ e-platform in larger interest of the students. With this, students will now be able to continue their studies on the e-platform. This portal will be utilized after lockdown period as well for improving quality of education.
Through this e-learning platform, teachers and children will be able to connect via video conferencing for online interactive classes. This will be the first major online education platform of its kind in the country, which will be very beneficial for the students of Chhattisgarh state as well as students of other Hindi speaking states. Its importance can be estimated from the fact that this portal was opened for trial yesterday and on the very first day of the trial, more than forty thousand people visited this portal. On the first day, hundreds of teachers and students have registered themselves and more than 150 videos and other course materials have also been uploaded.

School Education Department of Chhattisgarh Government has developed this portal for online studies with the help of NIC. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has launched the portal today. Learning resources for students from Class one to 10 have been made available on the website of the Department of School Education, cgschool.in. It is being further expanded, after which this facility will be available to students of class 11th and 12th. The purpose of launching this portal is not only to provide the text material, but also to make all the ‘classroom-like’ necessary facilities for education available to the children online. On this online education portal, students are provided text books in PDF format, audio and video lessons etc. as reading material in this portal, along with many other facilities, which are usually available in classroom only.
Online interactive classes will also be conducted on the portal through the zoom app, in which teachers and children will be able to connect from their homes through video conferencing. In these online classes, teachers will teach lessons and children will also be able to ask doubts-queries. In this way, the experience of online class will be same as real classroom. Children will also be able to solve their doubts online. Through this platform, children will also be given online home work. They will solve it in their copy at home and take a photo from their mobile and upload it on the portal. After this the concerned teachers will check it online and send it back to the students. In this way, students will be able to overcome their weaknesses in subjects while staying at home. This portal will continue to be used even after the lockdown ends. This program will also be very useful for remote schools of Chhattisgarh and the schools that lack subject teachers. The biggest feature of this portal is that it has been created by the Department itself without any external help. Principal Secretary Dr. Alok Shukla has collaborated with the programmers of NIC for development of this web-portal. In this way, School Education Department has prepared this software free of cost without spending any money.
