Chief Minister Kamal Nath releases ‘Gandhi Sandesh Padyatra’ Magazine

Bhopal : The Chief Minister Shri Kamal Nath said that the path of Non-Violence and Truth shown by the Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi is the only option, which can establish peace in our country and world. Shri Kamal Nath was releasing the Magazine ‘Gandhi Sandesh Padyatra’ at CM House today.

Shri Kamal Nath stated that it is the biggest need of today to get the present and future generations acquainted with the thoughts of Gandhji. Every Indian should make an effort to maintain the characteristic of respect for each other in our country based on different cultures, languages and religions. He further mentioned that the constitution of our country is the greatest constitution in the world. It is based on religious harmony and equality. Our constitution has been adopted by many countries. It is the duty of all of us to keep the constitution everlasting, he added.

The ‘Gandhi Sandesh Padyatra’ started from Jabalpur on December 25, on the occasion of 150th Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. It was concluded by the Chief Minister Shri Kamal Nath in Chhindwara on January 6. In the closing programme, as many as 25thousand school children set a world record by collectively singing the favourite Bhajan ‘Vaishnava Jan Ko Tene Kahiye’ of Mahatma Gandhi. The South Asia Head of the Golden Book of World Records Shri Alok Kumar presented the certificate of the record to the Chief Minister. Seventy members of the Padyatra led by Shri Durghesh Patel visited villages and schools and spread the message of Gandhiji. Plantation was also done for environment conservation.
