Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan honours Corona warriors

Bhopal : Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the mask is a type of vaccine to protect against Corona. Masks must be used by everyone mandatorily. It is a great weapon for defense. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan called upon people to develop the habit of washing hands frequently with soap and sanitizing also, apart from wearing masks to protect against Corona. These habits must be adopted by every citizen. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Corona virus is a new challenge before the world.

The form, effects and treatment of the disease is unknown. The whole world is in panic due to its fatality. Under these circumstances, the courage, patience and dedication with which the medical staff has been working, putting their lives at risk, and by not letting people lose faith, is remarkable in the history of humanity. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan greeted all doctors and paramedical staff on behalf of the eight crore people of the state and thanked them. Comparing this dedication with the incident of Dadhichi, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that it is the duty of the government and society to express their gratitude to the medical staff for the role played by them in this period of crisis. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was addressing the Seva Samman programme, organized in honour of Corona warriors of the medical field at Minto Hall today.

There will be no lack of resources in the war against Corona

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that financial crisis does exist, but there will be no lack of resources and money in the war against Corona. Be it availability of doctors, paramedical staff or the arrangement of equipment and materials, supply will continue. We are constantly moving towards the creation of new medical colleges. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the government stands with the Corona warriors at every step and under all circumstances.

Madhya Pradesh will become self-reliant even in calamity

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the country faced Corona pandemic with great understanding as a result of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s foresight. Lockdown made arrangements possible. Prime Minister Shri Modi called for turning the disaster into an opportunity. Though this fight against Corona is long but our strategy is accurate. We will constantly strive with patience, courage, enthusiasm and will continue to march towards the creation of self-reliant Madhya Pradesh in this disaster.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also interacted with the Corona warriors of the medical field, who gave their contributions in war against Covid-19 pandemic. Service honours and digital letters of appreciation were issued to all doctors and health workers on behalf of Chief Minister Shri Chouhan. The programme began with the Madhya Pradesh Gaan.

One lakh affected people recovered

Welcoming Chief Minister Shri Chouhan, Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Prabhuram Chaudhary said that Shri Chouhan has been reviewing Corona situation almost daily and continuously monitoring the situation besides encouraging the medical staff. Dr. Chaudhary said that strong measures are being taken to prevent infection in the state as per the guidelines of the Government of India. Out of one lakh 24 thousand Corona affected people in the state, one lakh people have recovered completely, which is a big achievement. Shri Chaudhary informed that continuous efforts are being made in the direction of testing and increasing resource capacity. Testing capacity in the state has been increased to 30 thousand a day. There are currently 716 fever clinics. The availability of beds is also sufficient.

Chief Minister signifies the line “Sukh ka data dukh ka saathi”

Medical Education Minister Shri Vishwas Sarang said that Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has proved the first line of Madhya Pradesh Gaan “Sukh ka data dukh ka saathi “. Due to his strong will power and efforts, the situation of Corona in the state is under control today. Expressing his gratitude to the doctors and paramedical staff, Shri Sarang said that God has made doctors the most fortunate because the doctor has the ability to save lives. The joy through service to the suffering humanity is mostly in the fate of doctors. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan interacted through video conferencing with the Corona warriors of the medical field, contributing during the Covid-19 pandemic period.

Removing fear – A big challenge

Manish ji- How are you? What was the biggest challenge before you in the early stages of Corona? This conversation is between Chief Minister Shri Chouhan and Dr. Manish Jain, Assistant Professor of Medicine, Sagar Medical College. Dr. Jain told the Chief Minister that the biggest challenge was to motivate the team and remove fear. For this, our seniors and I took the initiative and gathered courage to visit the patients’ ward. This led to beginning of work through teamwork. Dr. Jain said that boosting the morale of patients was also a big challenge. Generally, in other diseases, the family stays with the patient, and keeps boosting their morale. But in this disease, the patient used to be alone. Hence, efforts were made in this direction by initiating video calling system.

I have been in isolation for six months

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan asked the Chief Medical and Health Officer of Bhind, Dr. Ajit Mishra, that does his family say he should leave the medical field fearing Corona and pursue some other work. At this, Dr. Mishra told that I have isolated myself at home since six months to protect the elderly in my house from diseases and to protect them from infection. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that this is a wonderful example of dedication. Dr. Mishra said that the IITT strategy was very effective at the time of the possibility of infection from migrant labourers.

“We will overcome Corona soon”

Sushri Anshul Mishra is an epidemiologist in Indore. She is responsible for analyzing Covid related data and reporting at the state and national level. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan asked Sushri Anshul that what comes to her mind on seeing the data? Anshul said that she had definitely read about epidemics during the course of her study but this is the first experience of dealing with an pandemic. On Chief Minister Shri Chouhan’s query as what resolve did she have in mind now, Anshul said- “We will win over Corona soon”.

We can save others only if we are safe

People who come closest in contact of the patient is the nursing staff. In such a situation, were you not scared to treat Corona patients. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan put up this question to an Indore nurse Sushri Jaishree Kulkarni. Sushri Jaishree said that she treated patients with utmost care, courage while maintaining positivity. We only had to remove the fear of patients. Sushri Jaishree told that special attention should be paid to Yoga, Pranayam and nutritious food as we will be able to save others only when we are safe. Data manager of Indore Apoorva Tiwari told Chief Minister Shri Chouhan that your work is important. This gives us the basis for making further strategies.

2900 tests conducted in a day

Deepak Batham, a lab assistant at Gajararaja Medical College told the Chief Minister that earlier, we could take only 60-70 samples a day for testing but now 2000 to 2200 tests are being conducted daily. Deepak told that he has conducted maximum 2900 tests in one day. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan asked Deepak to follow the necessary precautions.

The battle is long: it is important to stand on the front

Dr. Lokendra Dave of Gandhi Medical College Bhopal thanked Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan for encouraging Corona warriors. Dr. Dave said that the government is providing adequate resources. He assured the Chief Minister Shri Chouhan that all the doctors and paramedical staff are committed and dedicated to work continuously. Dr. Dave said that the fight against Corona is long, but by working in a planned manner, we will be successful. It is important to remain strong mentally and use all precautions such as masks, social distancing and sanitization.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also interacted with Jabalpur Collector Shri Karmveer Sharma and Chief Executive Officer of Dewas district panchayat Sushri Sheetla Patel. Additional Chief Secretary Shri Mohammad Suleman told that the state’s recovery rate has gone up to 80 percent. The number of people recovering from Corona has exceeded one lakh. Commissioner of Medical Education Shri Nishant Warvade also addressed the programme. Lakhs of people connected with the programme on Facebook, YouTube, webcasts and major news channels.
