Chief Secretary Sh. Atal Dulloo reviewed the progress of transitioning the Jammu and Kashmir Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (JK EPFO) to the Central EPFO. During the meeting, it was highlighted that there has been a significant increase in subscriber accounts, from 490,336 to 768,993, and a substantial rise in settled claims, with 477,090 claims worth ₹2,348 crore resolved. The transition process is nearing completion, with most accounts digitized and transferred to the Central EPF Database. The meeting discussed compliance with a government order regarding the allocation of assets, manpower, and buildings between the J&K government and Central EPFO. Dulloo expressed satisfaction with the progress and directed prompt action to resolve any remaining issues. The transition aims to streamline provident fund management, enhancing benefits for employees in Jammu and Kashmir.
