Chinese Ambassador Luo Zhaohui along with high profiled delegates visited LPU campus
Jalandhar: His Excellency (HE) Ambassador of China Luo Zhaohui visited Lovely Professional University (LPU) and was welcomed by LPU Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal and Head of International Affairs Mr Aman Mittal. On this occasion, fruitful discussions to promote Indo-China education collaborations were held. LPU already has tie-ups with many Chinese universities and are working collaboratively in fields of research and student exchange including Chengdu Normal University, Beijing Union University, Hubei Normal University, Pingxiang University, Zhongyuan University of Technology, Guangdong Pharmaceutical University and more.
Illustratively, more than sixty Chinese students from various institutions/universities including Hubei Normal University, Beijing Union University, Jiangxi University, Kunming University and Yichun University have studied at LPU.
Expressing his happiness, HE Ambassador Zhaohui shared, “as my first maiden visit to Punjab, I am very happy that I made to an educational institution. I am impressed with the mesmerizing infrastructure of LPU.” He further added, “I have a very long connection with India and my only reason for becoming a diplomat was my love for India. It is my second term as a diplomat in India and my wife has also studied her doctorate from India.”
Welcoming HE Ambassador Luo Zhaohui, LPU Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal shared, “on the behalf of LPU family, I welcome HE Ambassador Luo Zhaohui and other delegates to India. LPU is already working with many Chinese universities to promote the educational collaboration between both the countries. Moreover, LPU has already started its’ first batch of Chinese language with the help of a voluntary Chinese teacher, Mr Yang Zhao, who is also pursuing a PhD in English literature at LPU.”
HE Ambassador Zhaohui was leading a high profiled delegation of China including Counselor – Chinese Embassy to India Dr Jiang Yili (Ambassador’s wife), Counselor – Chinese Embassy to India Mr Zhang Jianxin, Secretary – Chinese Embassy to India Mr Huang Gang, Officer – Cultural Office, Chinese Embassy to India Mr Yang Jun, Officer – Educational Section, Chinese Embassy to India Ms Sun Meixing.
