Class XI, Diploma Engineering entrance tests held
Aligarh: The combined entrance tests for admission to Class XI (Science)/Diploma in Engineering and Class XI (Commerce and Arts/Humanities) at the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) were today held following all the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of the Union Health Ministry to prevent the Covid-19 spread.
18176 students out of 32239 applicants sat for the Class XI (Science)/Diploma in Engineering test, while 9560 students had applied for commerce and arts/humanities streams. The Class XI Science/Diploma in Engineering test was held from 10:00 am to 12 noon and the Class XI (Commerce and Arts/Humanities) took place from 3: 00 pm to 5: 00 pm.
The test was also conducted at Bareily, Lucknow, Patna, Srinagar, Kolkata, Meerut and Kishanganj.
AMU Pro Vice Chancellor, Professor Zaheeruddin along with Officers on Special Duty to the Controller of Examinations, Prof Aejaz Masood and Prof Faisal Hasan visited various centres of the entrance exam in the University campus and at some Aligarh based schools.
Prof M Wasim Ali (Proctor) also visited the centres with his team.
Senior faculty members were deputed as observers at various centres in Aligarh and as overall in-charges at the centres outside Aligarh.
The District Administration provided all necessary assistance to conduct the test in a smooth manner. Parents of candidates appreciated the efforts of the University authorities to provide all types of help in the smooth conduct of the test.
