Clean India Campaign: DC Kishtwar flags off students rally

Sanitation drive conducted in Chowgan Ground, Govt offices

 

KISHTWAR : As a part of Swachhta Pakhwada under the aegis of Clean India Campaign, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Ashok Sharma flagged off a rally of students from the new DC office complex to historical Chowgan ground, while cleanliness drive was launched in all government offices across the district.

Vice President MC Sanjeet Kotwal; ADC Kishori Lal Sharma; ACR Akhter Hussain Qazi; ACP Zakir Hussain; DPO Sunil Bhutyal; EO MC Tariq Balwan; DYSSO K L Sharma; DHO Mushtaq Ahmed Wani besides other district officers and officials were present on the occasion.

The rally passed through Wasser and Kuleed area and culminated at Chowgan ground where the students collected the trash, single use plastic and other litter and disposed of it properly.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC asked the students to spread awareness regarding the Clean India campaign among the common people and inculcate the habit of cleanliness among themselves.

At Chowgan Ground, the students made the visitors aware about the importance of maintaining cleanliness at the public places and in and around their houses.

Meanwhile, a cleanliness drive was launched in all government offices besides at the DC office Complex.

Senior officers of District Administration inspected the condition of cleanliness in the government offices and on spot fine was recovered from the heads in the offices found dirty.
