Clean India drive held across district Ramban
RAMBAN : Ramban Administration intensified Sanitation drive across the district under “Clean India’ -the month long cleanliness and sanitation campaign launched by the Government under the aegis of Azadi KaAmrut Mahotsav to promote ‘Swachhta Hi Seva’ slogan.
The Department of Youth Services and Sports Ramban conducted a cleanliness drive at Batote. Officers, officials and locals participated in the drive.
The participants collected the single-use plastic bags & other waste materials and sensitized the shopkeepers and vendors about the harmful effects of banned plastic. The designated sanitation team demonstrated full dedication towards the assignment.
Similarly, the NSS unit of Government Degree College Ramban conducted a Marathon Run from College Campus to Mehar (Ramban). The run comprising 30 NSS volunteers and teachers was flagged off by Prof Bharat Singh, HOD Physics.
Later, an awareness rally was also organised by NSS Program Officer Prof Vickey Rattan under the patronage of college Principal, Dr Mohsin Bashir Dar. The colourful rally was taken out amid singing of patriotic songs and chanting of Swachhta slogans along the route.
Later, the NSS Volunteers enthusiastically participated in the cleanness drive in the Karol Market and its surroundings.
