Cleanliness drive launched in Weir Chattabal, Srinagar under Swachhta Pakhwada

 

SRINAGAR :- In connection with ongoing Swachhta Pakhwada under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, the District Administration Sringar continues special cleanliness drives in Government offices and public places besides at the Panchayat level across Srinagar.

The drive has been launched on the direction of Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad on October 02 on Gandhi Jayanti which shall continue till October15.

During the 15-day long cleanliness drive, various Government Buildings, Office, Play grounds, Parks, Panchayat Ghars, Health & Educational Institutions and other public places are being cleaned. Besides, garbage and debris will also be removed from the sides of various roads. Whiles general public is also given awareness about the importance of cleanliness.

Some areas in Srinagar Panchayats are also being cleaned under Swachhta Pakhwada with the active participation of the Rural Development Department and local volunteers.

Today on 10th day of Swachhta Pakhwada, cleanliness drive was held at Weir Chattabal to clean the premises of office of Irrigation & Flood Control and the adjoining area

Similarly, Cleanliness drive was also held at District Mineral Office Srinagar and other Government offices under Swachata Pakhwada. All employees whole heartedly participated in the programme with full enthusiasm.

Appreciating the efforts made by the participants in Swacch Bharat Abhiyan to make Srinagar a clean district under ongoing Swachhta Pakhwada, the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar has urged the Officers/ Officials of all Government departments to ensure cleanliness in their respective office buildings, premises and surrounding so that surrounding environment is made neat and clean.
