Close to 1000 adolescents between 15 and 18 get their first dose of COVID vaccine at Apeejay School-Noida
Noida : Amid the rising concerns over the third wave of Coronavirus and the emergence of Omicron variant, Apeejay School at Noida’s sector-16A is hosting a vaccination drive for the teenagers belonging to the 15 to 18 age group. The vaccination programme is driven by the UP state government.
So far, close to 1000 adolscents, including Apeejay School students and others, have got their first dose of the Covid vaccine at this camp so far.
“Apeejay Education has always prioritised the well-being of its stakeholders and has facilitated and organized vaccinations for our staff, parents, and the general community. Apeejay School, Noida is thankful to the government and happy to organize the vaccination camp for students,” said A.K. Sharma, Principal, Apeejay School, Noida.
The principal also paid a visit to the district’s Chief Medical Officer recently and mentioned about the smooth functioning of the camp. The vaccination camp would be open for more than one month so that more and more youngsters of the nearby area can take its benefit.
Apeejay Education is further looking forward to working with its health partners and the government to continue to organize camps at various schools across the country to achieve 100% vaccination of all eligible age groups. It has partnered with a private hospital to conduct vaccination drives at its schools in Delhi and Faridabad.
