CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan reviews situation of Corona and arrangements
Bhopal : The Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Corona is not over yet, do not be relaxed. Take full precautions and be alert. Do not overcrowd the places. Do not move out of the houses unnecessarily. Wear masks, maintain physical distancing and take all necessary precautions. Even the slightest negligence can prove fatal, he added.
The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan further mentioned that the positivity rate of Bhopal is about 10 percent; hence special precautions are needed here. He instructed that the private offices in Bhopal should function with 50 percent capacity from Monday and the shops should be closed at 8.00 p.m. instead of 10.00 p.m.
The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was reviewing the situation of corona in Madhya Pradesh and arrangements through video conferencing at Mantralaya today. The Minister for Medical Education, Bhopal Gas Tragedy, Relief and Rehabilitation Shri Vishwas Sarang, Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains, DGP Shri Vivek Johri, Principal Secretary Public Health and Family Welfare Shri Faiz Ahmed Qidwai, Principal Secretary Medical Education Shri Sanjay Shukla and other officers were present on the occasion.
Independence Day celebration programme should be organized at limited level
The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed that in view of the corona infection, Independence Day celebration programme should be organized at limited level in all districts and full precautions and alertness should be maintained in these programmes.
Testing should be increased, Lockdown can be imposed in Nasrullahganj
During the review of Sehore district, it was found that testing is less here. Sampling per 10 lakh population is 1370 in Sehore district, in comparison to the testing of 7096 per 10 lakh population in Madhya Pradesh. More cases have surfaced in Nasrullahganj in the last few days. The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan instructed that testing should be increased there and if required lockdown can be imposed. At present, Sehore district has 61 active patients and 29 patients went back home after the recovery.
Madhya Pradesh ranks 15th in active cases
In the comparative review of active cases, it was found that Madhya Pradesh ranks 15th in the country and stands at 13th place in positive cases. The Positivity rate of Madhya Pradesh is 3.73 percent, recovery rate is 68.3 percent and fatality rate is 3.24 percent.
Take action for not following guidelines
It was found in the review of Vidisha district that more people were infected in marriage programmes. The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan instructed that adherence to the guidelines prescribed by the government should be ensured in marriage and other programmes. Action should be taken against people for not following the guidelines. Sampling should be increased in the district, he added.
All medical colleges should function with full capacity
The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan instructed that the medical colleges of the state should function with their full capacity. In case of any shortcoming, it should be removed immediately to make them fully capable to tackle the situation. The new medical colleges should also be made functional with full capacity immediately. Topmost priority should be given to Covid work.
Pay special attention to districts with high positivity rate
The Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains instructed that special precautions should be taken in districts with high corona positivity rate. It was found in the review that the positivity rate of Bhopal, Gwalior, Khargone, Dhar, Sehore, Sheopur, Hoshangabad and Narsinghpur is high comparatively. At the same time, the decline has been registered in the positivity rate of Ujjain, Sagar, Shivpuri, Datia and other districts. Zero percent positivity rate has been recorded in Harda, Shahdol, Agar-Malwa, Anuppur, Dindori, Niwari and Seoni.
97 percent survey completed under Kill Corona Campaign
It was informed in the meeting that 97 percent health survey work has already been completed under the Kill Corona campaign in the state. The ACS Health Shri Mohammad Suleman has informed through VC that the cent percent survey will be completed by July 20. One lakh 17 thousand 626 samples have been taken under the survey and out of these 2038 have been found positive and the positivity rate of 1.73 percent has been recorded in the state.
