CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan urges common man to take precautions

Bhopal : The Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has appealed the people of the state to render help in defeating corona virus by breaking the chain of infection. He further mentioned that for the time being do not organize parties and programmes. The chain of infection must be broken under any circumstances by maintaining physical distancing and sanitation at home. The Chief Minister further stated that after the lockdown, the constant increase in the positive cases of corona virus cases during the unlock is a matter of concern. Shri Chouhan has said that with the feeling of welfare of all and praying for good health of all, lockdown is being imposed. Efforts made in the last 3-4 months were controlling corona. Tremendous success has also been achieved with the help of common man. But now keeping in view the present situation, there is a need to take full precautions and to follow guidelines again.

Prime Minister’s decision was historic, Precautions still must

The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has said that the virus has posed a big crisis before the humanity. The Prime Minister took a historic decision by declaring lockdown at the right time. He left no stone unturned. Lockdown was also followed in better way in the country. It helps in containing infection to a great extent. But life is also important. Therefore, exemptions were given on various occasion during the lockdown. The country has moved forward from lockdown to unlock. But unlocking has also made people careless. Necessary precautions were not followed. People in large number started visiting markets. Parties were also started. Arrangement was made for participation of people in limited 50 numbers from both the sides in marriage programmes. This was not followed at several places. Many people did not follow the protocol of mask. This resulted in increase in number of positive patients. Corona which was under control till June started increasing in the month of July. This increase in numbers is a matter of concern. We will have to contain corona under any circumstances. Therefore, lockdown has been imposed at many places again. The Chief Minister mentioned that there is a need to enforce measure in effective manner to break the chain of growing infection in Nasrullahganj, Sironj, Morena, Gwalior and other places. For this, necessary precautions must be followed. If we don’t take precautions then we will be compelled to move towards lockdown from unlock, he added.

Ten days lockdown in Capital

The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that lockdown has been imposed from today, July 24 for a period of 10 days in Bhopal. It became essential. All must cooperate to make it successful. Instructions have been given to make available the essential commodities like milk, vegetables and medicines to the citizens in this period.

Celebrate festivals in symbolic manner

The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan called upon the common man to celebrate festivals in a symbolic manner. Do not celebrate Ganesh Utsav at public places, do not set out Taziya processions also and do not hold religious programmes. People can celebrate festivals at home. This has been allowed but do not organize programmes outside. Because without this, we will not be able curb infection. Gathering of people more than the limit will prove fatal. ‘Hence, I request all not to come out of the houses unnecessarily’, he added.

Independence Day Celebration programme with limited presence to be organized

The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that this year the Independence Day Celebration programme will not be organized in a grand manner but will be organized with presence of people in limited numbers. Ministers will also attend the celebration programme to be organised in capital Bhopal. Celebration programmes are being organized in districts without the presence of ministers. The national flag will be hoisted in offices in presence of people in limited numbers with the purpose to protect everyone from corona virus.

Use of face masks, washing hands with soap and social distancing is must

The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that everyone should cover her/his face. Use mask or gamchha to cover face. Wash hands continuously for 20 seconds and along with this all should follow the protocol of physical and social distancing. These precautions will help in curbing infection, he asserted.

Follow guidelines for safety of near and dear ones

The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has appealed the general public to follow guidelines for safety of near and dear ones, cities and community to curb infection at places where the lockdown is being imposed and where there is unlock. Take precautions and be vigilant constantly. Do not move out of the house unnecessarily. It is must to avoid programmes, parties and from crowd in markets, he added.
