CM Shri Chouhan reviews Rewa, Satna, Katni and Singrauli projects
Bhopal : Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has issued instructions to increase the pace of implementation of sewerage projects under construction in Rewa, Satna, Katni and Singrauli municipal areas. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was reviewing the progress of the sewerage projects in these four municipal areas today through video conference. Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains, Principal Secretary Shri Manish Rastogi and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
Expressing displeasure over the lack of expected progress in the project of four districts Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed to accelerate the work. He said that the role of the municipal administration and the contracting company in the implementation of the project should be probed and the report submitted to the government. The progress report for the next month should be retrieved. He directed that all actions should be paced up to ensure completion of the sewerage projects soon.
Progress of sewerage projects of Rewa, Satna, Katni and Singrauli
The work of sewerage projects of Rewa, Satna, Katni and Singrauli urban bodies started in the year 2016 (Rewa, Satna) and 2017 (Katni, Singrauli), yet the desired progress has not been achieved. The work of these four is being undertaken by K.K. Spun India Limited. The cost of the urban body Rewa sewerage project is Rs 199.37 crore and the cost of Satna project is Rs 191.56 crore. Similarly, the cost of Katni sewerage project is Rs 96.50 crore and that of Singrauli is Rs 110.46 crore. Till now about one fourth work of the projects has been completed. The work of pipeline, road restoration, manholes, house service chamber, house service connection etc. under the projects is to be undertaken. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan issued instructions to work at a rapid pace in all schemes.
