CME on ‘Ketamine for Depression’

Aligarh : Dr Abid Rizvi (Department of Behavioral Medicine, West Virginia University, Morgantown, West Virginia) discussed the robust and rapid effect of Ketamine in the Online Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme, ‘Ketamine for Depression’ of the Department of Psychiatry, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).

He said that Ketamine is a break through molecule to treat the suicidal ideation in major depression and emphasised how molecules help in reducing the depressive features in a rapid manner.

Dr S A Azmi (Chairman, Department of Psychiatry) inaugurated the event and delivered the welcome address.

Dr M Reyazuddin (CME Organizing Secretary and Chairperson) gave the introductory remarks and also spoke on the benefits of Ketamine.

Dr Faisal Shaan conducted the programme and extended the vote of thanks.
