Codingal Announces HPE CodeWars 2022; India’s Biggest Hackathon and Coding Competition For High School Students

Bengaluru : Hewlett Packard Enterprise (NYSE: HPE) in collaboration with Codingal is live with HPE CodeWars 2022 India Edition; an annual coding competition for Grade 9-12 students.

This is the second online edition of one-of-its-kind virtual coding competition which culminates on Saturday, April 9, 2022. Over 10,000 students from more than 500 schools across the country are expected to participate, making it India’s largest hackathon and coding competition. HPE CodeWars 2022 aims to inspire, motivate and engage students to learn to code and find innovative solutions to real-life issues. Registration & participation in HPE CodeWars 2022 is free of cost. For CodeBattle, students are required to solve 25 coding-related problems in 3 hours using any of the programming languages among C, C++, Java, and Python.

For Hackathon, students can participate individually or as a team consisting of a maximum of 3 members.

Participants will have a chance to win prizes worth ₹3,00,000 from HPE, recognition certificates from HPE and STEM.org, along with mentorship from HPE technologists.  The winners will also have an opportunity to interact with HPE Spaceborne Computer-2 (SBC-2), an edge computer currently in space.

HPE CodeWars is a computer programming competition with the intent to evangelize coding amongst High School Students. Started in 1998, CodeWars has since expanded to multiple countries including USA, Spain, Taiwan, and India.
