Collaborative AI Research Labs Foundation (CAIRL) Launches in Hyderabad to Drive Responsible AI Development and Innovation
Hyderabad : The Collaborative Artificial Intelligence Research Labs Foundation (CAIRL) officially launched today in Hyderabad at the T-Hub. The event gathered industry leaders, academic experts, and government representatives to address India’s AI landscape, with a vision to foster responsible AI development through collaborative efforts between academia, industry, and government.
The event commenced with an introductory speech by Ramamohan Manamasa, Entrepreneur and Managing Director of Colaberry Private Limited, highlighting CAIRL’s mission to advance AI research and applications that benefit society. Following the introduction, Ram Katamaraja, Founder and CEO of Colaberry Inc., USA, delivered a keynote on the Global AI Research Landscape and the crucial role of the CAIRL in shaping AI’s future in India.
The launch featured Shri Jayesh Ranjan Garu, IAS, Special Chief Secretary, IT E&C, Industries Department, Government of Telangana, as the Guest of Honour, who underscored Telangana’s commitment to transforming Hyderabad into a global hub for AI talent and industry.
A key component of the event was the panel discussion, AI 2030: Envisioning the Future of Artificial Intelligence in Industry and Society, moderated by Dr. Suraj Bansali, Director of Clinical Development at Elanco. The panel explored the transformative role of AI in the next decade, focusing on disruptive innovations, ethical challenges, and industry-specific applications across various sectors. Panelists included:

The discussion highlighted CAIRL’s objectives to accelerate AI talent development, promote open-source AI research, and establish strategic partnerships with institutions such as IIT, IIIT, BITS, NIT Warangal, and ISB.
