Competitive events held to mark the Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi
ALIGARH : Anwar Ali (Ahmadi School for the Visually Challenged) won the first prize while Syeda Safiya (AMU City Girls’ School) and Labiba Fatima (Abdullah School) got the second and third prizes, respectively, in Qirat (Quran recitation) competition organized by the Abdullah School, Aligarh Muslim University to mark the Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad.
Mrs Lubna Imtiaz (Cultural Coordinator) informed that in the Naat Khwani competition, Jamin Noor (Ahmadi School) won the first prize and Mohammad Zoquain (Abdullah School) and Zoya Anees received the second and third prizes.
Prof Shaista Afroz (Deputy Director, Directorate of School Education), who also judged the competitive events along with Mrs Umra Zaheer (Superintendent, Abdullah School) and Hafiz Mohd Asim Akhlaq, gave certificates to the winners.
Mohd Merajuddin Nadvi conducted the programme.
Meanwhile, in another programme to mark the Swachhta Special Campaign 2.0 and to set up 3 Rs – Reduce, Recycle and Reuse, the Abdullah School organized the ‘Best out of Waste’ activity and more than 100 students participated in the event by making wall-hanging decorative pieces, flower pots, pen stands, etc, by using the waste material.
