Conference on Advances in Heat Transfer and Fluid Dynamics
Aligarh : Deliberations on application of heat transfer and fluid dynamics in fields of engineering and other sciences took place in the three-day International Conference on ‘Advances in Heat Transfer and Fluid Dynamics 2022’ which concluded on December 3 at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, ZH College of Engineering and Technology (ZHCET), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).
Speaking on ‘Treatment of Blood Rheology in Computational Fluid Dynamics’, the Chief Guest, Prof K Muralidhar (Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Kanpur) discussed how computational fluid dynamics can be an auxiliary tool for the diagnostic and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
Presiding over the inaugural function, Prof Mohammad Gulrez talked about the impact of new engineering fields on GNP.
Attending the programme as the Guest-of-Honour, Dr Pankaj Priyadarshi (Scientist/engineer Head group director, ISRO) delivered a talk on ‘Launch Vehicle Stage Recover to Reduce the Cost of Access to the Space-Aerothermal Challenges’ and discussed the use of computation and experimentation.
Prof M Altamush Siddiqui (Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology) spoke about heat transfer and fluid dynamics in the optimal design and performance of equipment employed in the power and process industries, automobiles, refrigeration, air-conditioning., aircrafts, rockets and missiles.
Prof M M Sufyan Beg (Principal, ZHCET) explained the heat dissipation in electronic devices and high speed computers.
Prof Mohammad Muzammil (Chairman, Department of Mechanical Engineering) gave an overview of industrial and academic research in thermofluid sciences, fluid mechanics, aero-thermodynamics, heat transfer and other applications to engineering systems.
Prof M Faisal Sayeed Baig delivered the welcome address and Prof Naiem Akhtar extended the vote of thanks.
