Conference on ‘Low Energy Nuclear Reaction Dynamics’ concludes

Aligarh : Subject experts from Russia, Mexico, Argentina, Australia, UK and Italy based laboratories provided insight on the structure and stability of the nuclei that make up the world around us, as well as the reactions which formed them in the cosmos in the conference on ‘Low Energy Nuclear Reaction Dynamics’ of the Department of Physics, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).

“In the three-day conference that concluded on March 9, around 70 papers were contributed through oral and e-poster presentation and over all 180 participants attended the programme”, said Prof Bhanu Prakash Singh (Chairman, Department of Physics) adding that the proceedings of the conference included deliberations on reaction dynamics, fusion-fission phenomena, neutron physics, deformed shells, nuclear spectroscopy, and exotic nuclei among other topics.

Renowned scientists, Prof Ajit K Sinha (Ex-director, IUC-DAEF, Indore), Prof S K Patra (IOP, Bhubaneswar) and Prof B R Behra (Punjab University, Chandigarh) cleared a series of concepts related to theoretical research aimed at understanding years of empirical data on Low Energy Nuclear Reaction Dynamics.

They chaired the concluding session.

Prof Isar Ahmed Rizvi and Dr Shakeb Ahmad extended the vote of thanks.
