Conference on Migration and Diaspora in West Asian & North African Region

Aligarh : The Department of West Asian and North African Studies, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) in collaboration with Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) is organizing a two-day International Conference on ‘Migration and Diaspora in West Asian & North African Region: Global Concerns and Implications for India’ from March 15.

Prof. Rakshanda F. Fazli, Convener of the conference said the inaugural ceremony will be held on 15th March at 10 am at the JN Medical College Auditorium.

Prof. Ashraf S. Eldin Mishrif, Oman Chamber of Commerce & Industry Chair, Sultan Qaboos University, Oman will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Dr. Ammar Abdulhameed Khader, Cultural Attache, Embassy of the Republic of Iraq, and Prof. Gulshan Dietl (retd.), Jawaharlal Nehru University will be the Guests of Honour.

Prof. S. Irudaya Rajan, Director, IIMAD, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala will deliver the Keynote address.

Prof. Tariq Mansoor, Vice Chancellor, AMU will preside over the session, while Prof. Mohammad Gulrez, Pro Vice-Chancellor will also attend the programme.
