Constitution Day: DLSA Jammu establishes 5th legal Aid Clinic at KV Bantalab under Access to Justice Project

Jammu: District Legal Services Authority Jammu under the chairmanship of Sanjeev Gupta, Chairman, District Legal Service Authority (Pr. Distt & Sessions Judge) Jammu established 5th legal Aid Clinic under Access to Justice, project phase-II at Kendriya Vidayala, Hr. Secondary School , Bantalab.

The Legal Aid Clinic was inaugurated by Sanjeev Gupta, Chairman District Legal Services Authority (Pr. Distt & Sessions Judge) Jammu and Anuradha Gupta, Director School Education Jammu who were the chief guest on the occasion.

Mohinder K. Sharma, Member Secretary, J&K State Legal Services Authority Jammu , Nuashad Ahmed Khan Secretary DLSA Jammu , D.P Patel Assistant commissioner K.V Sangathan Jammu, Shalini Sharma Chairperson, Suraj Prasad Principal KV Bantalab Jammu alongwith other dignitaries, faculty members sand the students of the school were also present.

The Chief Guest commenced the programme with lightening of lamp amidst the chanting Sanskrit slogs.

The preamble was read by lsha Bhagat, student of the school followed by flag hosting.

Suraj Prasad, Principal K.V Bantalab, in his welcome address expressed his gratitude towards the guests and highlighted the importance of legal Aid Clinics.

On the occasion, Anuradha Gupta expressed her views regarding legal awareness and congratulated everyone on the eve of constitution day.

She also spoke on the establishing of legal literacy clubs in all the schools in her jurisdiction for the legal empowerment of the youth.

Assistant Commissioner, D.P Patel, in his address expressed gratitude towards the judiciary of UT J&K for selecting K.V Bantalab and opening of legal aid clinic in the Vidyalaya.

In his address, M.K Sharma, member Secretary SLSA enlightened the importance of legal aid clinic for the society.

Secretary DLSA Jammu, Naushad Ahmed Khan motivated the students to spread awareness regarding the legal aid clinics.

The guest of honour Sanjeev Gupta, graced the occasion with his motivational words by highlighting the aims, objectives and importance of the legal aid clinics i.e. to empower the poor weaker and the marginalized sections of the society by ensuring equal access to justice to all.

Master S. Vinayak , Haresh Raina and Jeevika Mishri of K.V Bantalab spoke on the topic of communal harmony.

A group song was presented by the students which was composed by Trivid TGT Music, while Alka PGT Chemistry presented vote of thanks. The programme concluded with national anthem in which everyone participated.
