Continuous decline in number of active Corona cases in Madhya Pradesh; Special attention must be paid to system in Ujjain

Bhopal :Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has informed that there is a continuous decline in the number of active cases of Corona in the state. The number of patients recovering from Corona is way more than the number of new Corona positive cases. Special attention needs to be paid to the arrangements in Ujjain district.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was reviewing the condition and arrangements of Corona in the state through a video conference in Mantralaya today. Health Minister Shri Narottam Mishra, Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Health Shri Mohammad Suleman and others were present in the meeting.

132 discharged, 114 new cases

ACS Health Shri Mohammad Suleman said that according to the Corona test report received in the state on May 7, 114 new cases of Corona have been found in the state. At the same time, 132 patients have recovered and returned home. The number of active cases of Corona in the state has come down by 26. Now the active Corona cases in the state are 1828.

Posting of Specialist doctors in Ujjain

During the review of Ujjain district, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed that specialist doctors should be posted in Ujjain. We have to make every effort to ensure that not a single Corona infected patient dies there. Apart from R.D. Gardi Hospital, the Trauma Centre at Ujjain will also be started as a Covid Hospital soon. Apart from this, 100 beds have been reserved for Ujjain at Bhandari Hospital Indore. The new collector informed that while another intensive survey work has been undertaken in Ujjain, the number of Corona tests has been increased, while special attention is being given to the health of the patients in the hospital. The Chief Minister directed that cooperation of all sections of society should be sought in the work. Chief Secretary Shri Bains directed that the arrangements at Badnagar should be reviewed again.
