Cornell University Announces Enrollment For Summer Session 2023
Cornell students, students from other universities, and adult learners are invited to enroll now in Cornell’s Summer Session, which features on-campus, online, and off-campus courses.
Students can earn up to 15 credits by taking regular Cornell classes taught by university faculty. Courses are offered in three-, six- and eight-week sessions between May 30 and August 1.
Summer Session, administrated by the School of Continuing Education and Summer Sessions (SCE) since 1876, offers courses in Africana studies, art, anthropology, astronomy, biology, business, chemistry, communication, computer science, design, economics, engineering, English, government, hotel administration, languages, law, mathematics, music, nutritional science, physical education, physics, psychology, statistics, technology, veterinary medicine and more.
Some new and notable additions to this year’s roster include:
ART 2201: Introduction to Painting
BIOMI 1100: Locker Rooms, Kitchens and Bedrooms: The Microbiology of College Life
DEA/COGST 1112: Change-making: Designing Healthy and Hospitable Environments
COMM 2760: Persuasion and Social Influence
ENTOM 2030: Honey Bees: Their Intriguing Biology and Interactions With Humans and More
HIST 2526: Words as Weapons: Political Vocabulary, Mass Media and the Evolution of Political Consciousness
Other special offerings this year include the Cornell Prelaw Program and Internship in New York City, taught by C. Evan Stewart ’74, JD ’77, and The Business World in New York City, taught by Erik Michielsen, managing director, Member Development, World 50, Inc. and a former regional director of the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business.
Courses will be added throughout the spring, so students are encouraged to check the Summer Session course roster frequently.
