Cornell University’s experts to convene at Nolan School program in June
The Cornell Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration will host its annual Professional Development Program (PDP) for hospitality executives in Ithaca, New York, this summer. The program is scheduled for June 12-17 on the Cornell University campus.
Since 1928, PDP has provided a distinctive educational and networking experience for hospitality professionals. The program gives participants opportunities to engage with Cornell Nolan School faculty experts and peers, explore current industry developments and earn up to two professional development certificates.
“PDP uniquely equips professionals with the knowledge, skills and global perspective necessary for leadership on industry best practices and evolving topics such as rethinking the guest value proposition, managing the brand across platforms, and empowering innovation in your team — trends that are transforming hospitality’s future,” said Kate Walsh, dean of the Cornell Nolan School.
This year’s program will feature courses on asset management strategy, financial decision-making, guest experience management, leadership and more. Participants can expect to exchange ideas with colleagues in networking sessions and broaden their expertise through assignments, simulations and case studies. They can curate their learning by selecting one course from each session or choosing any single three-day course:
Session 1: June 12 – 14, 2023
Advanced Hotel Real Estate: Asset Management Strategy
Creating and Managing the Guest Experience
Hospitality Financial Decision-Making
Session 2: June 15 – 17, 2023
Advanced Hotel Real Estate: Deal Structuring and Capital Markets
Hospitality Brand Management
Transformative Hospitality Leadership in a Post-Pandemic World
PDP is part of the Cornell Nolan School’s ongoing celebration of its centennial year.
