Countdown to the first-ever International Heritage Symposium begins
On 15th January 2020, the first International Heritage Symposium and Exhibition (IHSE) will begin in New Delhi, at the National Museum. Ms. Junhi Han (Chief of Culture at UNESCO New Delhi) will be one of the panelists of the 7-panel discussions that will take place on 15 and 16 January. Simultaneously, an exhibition will be held at the National Museum which will go on for one month.
The initiative is jointly organized by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology (KSCST), and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Hon’ble Minister of Science, Technology and Earth Sciences will be the Chief Guest and Shri Prahlad Singh Patel, Hon’ble Minister of Culture will be the Guest of Honour on the occasion.
For the first time, communities from diverse disciplines, such as social sciences, technology and culture that are engaged in conservation, preservation and management of World Heritage in physical and digital space, will gather to dialogue and share experiences.
