COVID-19: DLCW Rajouri takes Morning drive initiative under BBBP

Rajouri: On the directions of District Development Commissioner Rajouri Mohd Nazir Sheikh and under the supervision of DSEO and Nodal officer of BBBP Rajouri Mr Bilal Rashid Mir, DLCW Rajouri initiated a morning drive at 6 am for distribution of mask, sanitizers among needy people of the district.
Women Welfare Officer, Rajouri, Anum Mirza along with her team went out and distributed face masks among the nomads who are embarking their journey, security guards, rag-pickers, daily wagers, beggars, families of migrant labourers, shoe polishers (bootblack) etc and tried their best to reach the most needy people in the district.
During their visit, the Women Welfare Officer interacted with the families of labourers and all the needy people there and inquired about their needs and problems they are facing during the period of lockdown. She assured them that all their needs will be fulfilled by the District administration at the earliest.
The DLCW team made aware all these people regarding the COVID-19 and urged them to maintain social distancing, wearing of masks, frequently washing of hands etc.
She also said the objective behind the early morning initiative is that the nomads, labourers and rag pickers can be approached only during the early hours and it would be a wild goose chase to track these people in the afternoon.
The WWO said that “The district administration is working tirelessly to reach the maximum people, so that their problems can be addressed and had already won a laurel which is evident from the fact that there is no active case in the district. Moreover a slew of measures have been initiated by the district administration and the purpose of this COVID-19 Lockdown could be achieved.
Besides, imparting awareness, team BBBP also collected the details of essentials required by some women folk, especially Girl Students and assured them for providing of same under the BBBP Campaign, so that every daughter must feel proud to be daughter and campaign launched by Prime Minister of India can reach in every family having daughters.
