COVID-19: ISM Bandipora distributes immunity boosting medicine among employees

Bandipora: ISM (AYUSH) distributed immunity booster medicines among employees at mini secretariat Bandipora, to boost the natural immunity.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Bandipora, Zahoor Ahmad Mir said the immune booster medicines are being distributed as per protocol issued by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India and following the direction of Director Indian System of Medicine (ISM) J&K.
In the introductory session Dr, Irfan Banday highlighted the role of immune boosters in Covid-19 pandemic. He said that enhancing the body’s natural defense system (immunity) plays an important role in maintaining optimum health.
Dr. Irfan along with a team of doctors instructed employees about the mode of consumption and dosage of these immune-boosting medicines.
On the occasion Nodal Officer ISM Dr. Iftikar Gazi said that the immunity booster medicine is being distributed, free of cost by the Department of Indian System of Medicine (AYUSH). He informed that more than 5000 immunity-boosting medicine has been distributed among the frontline workers, Red zone areas and buffer zones across the districts.
He said that besides distributing medicines, the ISM doctors and paramedic staff is actively working shoulder to shoulder with the Department of Health in hot spot areas for survey purpose and establishing contacts of the suspects. He said awareness is also being given to the locals by ISM regarding precautions to prevent COVID19 spread.
