CPO Rank Holders meet union minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar, seek immediate extension of rank list
Thiruvananthapuram : In a bid to address concerns raised by CPO rank holders, Union Minister of State for Electronics and IT, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, has pledged to take up the issue with the state Chief Minister and sought extension of the rank list which is set to expire on April 13. The rank holders have been protesting for the past 34 days in front of the state secretariat. During an unexpected encounter with representatives of protesting job seekers, Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar empathized with their predicament and vowed to take their grievances seriously.
Expressing dismay over the hurdles faced by qualified professionals in securing employment, Minister emphasized the need for a proactive approach in addressing the issue. He acknowledged the challenges faced by a considerable number of candidates who, despite possessing the necessary qualifications, have yet to secure appointments.
Representatives of the All Kerala Police Constable Rank Holders Association presented a memorandum to Minister Chandrasekhar, who promptly sought detailed information to better understand their plight. Recognizing the broader issue of unemployment among educated youth in Kerala, he stressed the urgency of creating more job opportunities within the state.
“The untapped human resource potential of Kerala must be harnessed for the greater good of the nation,” affirmed Minister Chandrasekhar. He emphasized the imperative of exploring avenues beyond traditional government employment, citing the Modi government’s successful initiatives in job creation across various states. Reiterating his unwavering commitment to facilitating necessary interventions, Minister Chandrasekhar underscored the importance of leveraging Kerala’s talent pool for the nation’s benefit.
