Critical Workshop on “Developing Market Readiness & Employability Skills” Organized at IMS Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad: IMS Ghaziabad organized a Workshop on “Developing Market Readiness & Employability Skills” on March 29, 2022 in collaboration with Ghaziabad Management Association.

The critical initiative was envisioned to empower the learners with the career insights needed to be corporate ready and enhancing crucial employability skills. The distinguished Expert Resource Persons for the workshop were Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director, IMS Ghaziabad; Mr. Anuj Pal Goswami, Managing Director, Global Institute for Staffing and Training; Mr. Tarun Sharma, Lead- Institution, Growth@OneBanc; Mr. Dhrubajyoti Roy, Lead UPI and NETC, National Payments Corporation of India and Mr. Manash Chakraborty, VP & Branch Head- North, Times Network. The session was graced by the presence of Mr. Vinay Gupta, Executive Director, Ghaziabad Management Association and Mr. Suresh Verma from GMA.

In her Inaugural Address, Director, Dr. Urvashi Makkar inspired the young minds to be prepared for their next job as well as job role, understand the associated expectations and actively develop the required competencies. Highlighting the crucial importance of learning agility, she emphasized that each individual must continuously assess and reassess the different parameters of their market readiness as per the changed scenarios. The expert speakers shared the expectations of the corporate with the participants along with the skill sets required to meet the same.

Interactive exercises and activities were done in the action packed session thus heightening the energy quotient. Over 350 enthusiastic students hailing from multiple institutes spread across Delhi and NCR participated in the engaging session. Anchored by Khushi Mishra & Vaibhav Nagpal and coordinated by Prof. Sangeeta Magan, the workshop was instrumental in enhancing the capabilities, skills and employability quotient of the learners.
