Croatian Students Show Interest in Ural Federal University

On February 13, 2024, Vladimir Kamenecki visited the Technical School of Mechanical Engineering in Rijeka (Tehnička škola Rijeka, Croatia), as arranged with the professors, including Igor Majkić. As a student of the Institute of New Material and Technologies, he gave a presentation on his experience studying at the Ural Federal University to three classes of high school students. The meeting was attended by 61 potential students aged 17 to 19.

During his 45-minute presentation, Vladimir discussed UrFU’s main educational programs, opportunities, and international student life. The students in attendance had questions about the cost of studying at UrFU and the living conditions in Russia. As a token of appreciation, UrFU gave bracelets and pens to the most active participants.

After meeting with the students, Vladimir visited the department where he had previously studied. He discussed opportunities for collaboration and student exchanges and left flyers to distribute to students.

On February 14, Vladimir met with Matej Fonović, Head of Student and Staff Mobility and representative of the Erasmus Mobility program at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Rijeka. Vladimir discussed the opportunities available at UrFU and the conversation was productive. The meeting was arranged through mutual acquaintances. Matej Fonovic expressed interest in potential cooperation.

Ural Federal University is one of the leading universities in Russia founded in 1920. UrFU is located in Yekaterinburg, the capital of the Ural region, an economic, industrial, scientific and cultural center of Russia. The university is the project office of the Ural Interregional Research and Education Center “Advanced Industrial Technologies and Materials” designed for solving tasks of “Science” National Project.
