CSIT-IITR, Lucknow signs MoU, with KIET to promote Research & Innovation
Lucknow: Council of Scientific & Industrial Research, Indian Institute of Toxicology and Research (CSIR-IITR), Lucknow signed the historic Memorandum of Understanding with KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad at its Lucknow office.
This MoU has been signed to promote Electronics, Information Technology, Electronics Instrumentation and Pharmacy based Research & Development, thereby enabling eco system by both the institutes for Startups.
The Director, CSIR-IITR, Lucknow, Dr Alok Dhawan and the Director, KIET Group of Institutions, Ghaziabad – Dr A Garg signed the MoU in the presence of Head Business Development & Research, IITR – Dr KC Khulbe and GM-TBI & Dean- IEC, KIET, Prof Satendra Kumar. This collaboration aims to promote Electronics & Information Technology and Pharmacy based Research & Development and Startups through the collective efforts of CSIR-IITR and experienced researchers of KIET.
The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), established in 1942, is an autonomous society whose president is the Prime Minister of India. An ensemble of 37 state-of-the-art institutes, CSIR is, at present, amongst the foremost scientific and industrial research organizations in the world and KIET Group of Institutions is one of the premier destinations for young minds, offering courses in Engineering, Management and Pharmacy and DSIR approved SIRO and Technology Incubation Centre approved by DST, government of India and MEITY, Government of India.
The director of KIET, Dr A Garg, states, “Through this agreement, both the organizations would endeavour to support each other in the areas pertaining to Electronics, Information and Pharmacy. The experienced researchers of KIET along with the Start-ups of TBI-KIET would devote worthy support to CSIR-IITR in the areas of Drone, Solar Panels, Green Energy, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, IoT and ERP and in return KIET students and faculty members would be able to utilize the advanced testing laboratories, good laboratory practices, established at IITR, for their Research. Also the students of KIET would be able to avail the opportunities of internships with CSIR-IITR.”
The General Manager, KIET-TBI, Prof. Satendra Kumar said, “I am pleased to share that the Start-ups of KIET viz. Vyamnic Aerospace, D-Town Private Ltd., Enray Solutions and Bhurak Technologies, have already committed IITR to provide them with customized solutions in the areas of drone, solar panel cleaning and face recognition.” He shared that TBI-KIET, in alliance with the Incubation centre of IITR, will organize a 6-8 months Accelerator program in the fields of Health and Agriculture to give a momentum to Innovation and the department of Science & Technology and Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India will be approached for financial support.
Moreover, it has been decided that Director IITR, Lucknow, along with eminent scientists, will address the various departments of KIET and thereby a team of experienced experts will frame an extensive strategy to make this agreement extremely effective so that the services could be exchanged with proficiency.
This is the glorious timefor all at KIET,especially the students as through this memorandum of understanding, KIET will strive for their welfare and provide them with best opportunities both on the national and international platforms.
