Cultural Counsellor of Iran visits Institute of Persian Research

 

Aligarh : The Cultural Counsellor of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr Mohd Ali Rabbani visited the Institute of Persian Research of AMU on Thursday,

The Cultural Counsellor appreciated the academic output of the Institute and said that it has played an important role in promoting cultural ties between India and Iran. He acknowledged that the Institute has closely worked with Iran Culture House, New Delhi on various projects and its publication programme. He agreed to the proposal of bringing out a literary journal from the Institute of Persian Research in collaboration with an Iranian University to collaborate in common research ventures and assured virtual lectures by renowned Iranian scholars will be delivered at the Institute.

During the interactive session Prof Azarmi Dukht Safavi, founder and advisor, and former Director of the Institute of Persian Research, elaborated the aims and objectives of the Institute and described its various achievements. She said that during the past years, more than seventy five books have been published by the Institute.

Prof Mohd Usman Ghani, Director Institute of Persian Research welcomed the Counsellor and presented a Sepas Namah. He expressed hope that the Institute will flourish further with his help and guidance.

Dr Mohd. Ehteshamuddin, Assistant Professor, Institute of Persian Research, delivered a vote of thanks.
