Cultural Unit of DIPR organises cultural programme at Kashmir Haat

 

SRINAGAR : The Cultural Unit of Department of Information & Public Relations (DIPR) Kashmir, today organized a Cultural programme at Kashmir Haat during ongoing Craft Mela.

The 15 day Craft Mela has been organised by the Directorate of Handicrafts and Handlooms, implemented in collaboration with Information Department JK and was inaugurated by Lieutenant Governor of UT of J&K, Manoj Sinha on 10th July.

The event is aimed at promoting the footfall at the Kashmir Haat and to give a boost to the local products.

Making the exhibition multi-dimensional and colourful, artists of the Cultural Unit performed many folk items.

All the artists took the audience into their spell through their melodious and mesmerizing songs. Besides, young artists from the valley also performed various folk items and light music to entertain the visitors .

Meanwhile Cultural officer Kashmir, Tawheed Ahmad Mir said that events like these help the participating artists to showcase their talent besides motivate others to come up front and show their hidden potential.

He said, in order to nurture the inherent potential that each and every young artist has a virtual platform will be given to youth to showcase their talent through a Talent Hunt- Kashmiri culture event, which will commence after Eid ul Adha.
