Cultural Unit Srinagar of DIPR raises awareness on Covid-19 at various Srinagar areas
Raises awareness through performance by Ladishah, holding Nukkad Natak
SRINAGAR : The Cultural Unit Srinagar of Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) today raised awareness among masses regarding Covid-19 in a novel way through the performance by Kashmiri popular Ladishah and holding Nukkad Natak (Street Play) at various places across Srinagar.
The awareness drive was held as part of celebration of ‘Aazdi Ka Amrit Mohatsav’ (AKAM) initiative of the government.
On the occasion, a team of Artists led by an official of the Cultural Unit held awareness regarding Covid-19 at Pantha Chowk, Nowgam Railway Station and Batmaloo.
The performances drew large crowds of public and were requested to follow Covid-19 related SOPs including wearing masks and washing hands regularly in letter and spirit to prevent the spread of virus and break the chain.
The people were amused at the sight and appreciated the department for taking to this novel initiative to aware the public about the importance of adherence to Covid-19 SOPs.
