Cummins India flags off India’s first mobile training fleet on BS-VI technology

Hyderabad: Cummins India launched the first fleet of eight BS-VI mobile training vans in India with the objective is to educate and offer training on the BS-VI technology engines. The campaign was flagged off at Cummins India Office Campus in Pune and the vans will be travelling to multi-cities across the length and breadth of the country, starting from 06th November.

Cummins training vans will be travelling to OEM Dealership and authorized workshops for technicians, body builders, drivers and customers to conduct BS-VI awareness training. This campaign will provide an opportunity for participants to have hands on training experience without having to travel to centralized training centers.

Installed inside each of these vans is an actual Cummins BS-VI engine with cut sections of engine parts and SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) system. It also houses the Cummins Single Module Aftertreatment system to give the audience a real touch and feel experience of the Cummins technology. The training van is equipped with LCD TV’s to impart information and training videos for the Cummins BS-VI engines. In addition to these the Cummins BS-VI engine is attached to the live wiring harness supplied with DC power for the simulation of static fault code. INSITETM connectivity and features such as fault reset code, actuation test etc. can also be carried out. INSITETM application will reduce troubleshooting time, errors and incorrect procedures and quickly get the vehicle back on the road.

In the first phase the fleet of eight training vans will be traveling across major cities like Pune, Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Chennai, Cochin, Kolkata, Jamshedpur, Jaipur etc. and covering 10 cities and towns per month to start with.
