CUPB to commence online counselling for admissions in PG Programmes and short-term courses through CUET-PG from 30th September, 2022
Bathinda : The online counselling process for admissions to 44 postgraduate programmes and seven short term courses offered at the Central University of Punjab, Bathinda (CUPB) will commence from 30th September onwards. The university made this announcement soon after the declaration of CUET-PG 2022 exam results by the National Testing Agency on Monday.
The candidates who appeared in CUET-PG 2022 and are interested in taking admissions to various Post Graduation Programmes / Short Term Courses offered by the Central University of Punjab during Academic Session 2022-23 are required to participate in this Online Counselling through registration on CUPB Website www.cup.edu.in from 30th September, 2022 to 3rd October, 2022.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Raghavendra P. Tiwari, congratulated the candidates who have qualified for the CUET-PG 2022 Exam and invited them to participate in the online counselling process of the Central University of Punjab. He asserted that the CUPB is the preferred destination for students from India and abroad as the university has secured its place among the top 100 universities of Indian in NIRF Rankings consecutively four times in the last four years with our focus on student-centric quality education and providing a best-in-class research environment to budding scientists of India.
Prof. B.P. Garg, Controller of Examinations and Registrar (O) stated that more than 2 lakh applicants have opted for CUPB in their choice list for pursuing higher studies while submitting their CUET (PG) 2022 applications. He added that after the completion of the registration process for CUPB Online Counselling, scheduled from 30th September to 3rd October, the first online counselling for the master’s programme will be conducted in various rounds from 5th to 13th October, 2022.
In each round, candidates will be offered the chance to lock in their preference for any one programme. Among the locked choices, merit will be prepared for each programme and candidates with higher merit will be offered a seat for fee submission, subject to the availability of seats.
During the online counselling process, the university would give admissions to students on 1381 seats in 44 PG Programmes and 105 seats in 07 Certificate / PG Diploma Courses. The various disciplines in which students could pursue Post Graduation at CUPB are Computer Science and Technology; Cyber Security; Mathematics; Statistics; Physics; Chemistry; Applied Chemistry; Theoretical and Computational Chemistry; Bioinformatics; Computational Physics; Botany; Zoology; Biochemistry; Microbiology; Geology; Environmental Science and Technology; Food Science and Technology; Medicinal Chemistry; Molecular Medicine; Human Genetics; Pharmaceutical Chemistry; Pharmacognosy; Pharmacology; Agribusiness; Law; Economics; Sociology; Psychology; History; Geography; Political Science; Politics and International Relations; Education; Journalism and Mass Communication; Commerce; English; Hindi; Punjabi; Physical Education; Library and Information Sciences; Performing Arts (Theatre); Fine Arts (Painting); and Music (Vocal). Apart from the above, the University is offering PG Diploma/Certificates in Punjabi Translation; Neural Networks and Deep Learning; French; Computational Linguistics; Geo-informatics; Data Science for Bio-informatics; and Hindi Translation subjects.
