Her Excellency Dr. (Smt.) Tamilisai Soundararajan, Hon’ble Governor of Telangana and Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Puducherry while addressing the audience said, “I am very happy to inaugurate BVR Mohan Reddy School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SCIENT) at IITH. IITH is playing a key role in encouraging innovation in the country. The present generation of students is very talented, innovative, and technology-equipped. A school like BVR SCIENT will play a key role in encouraging youngsters who are technologically hungry. I want the students of the country to be job providers and not job seekers. I believe BVR SCIENT will lead the path to create young and innovative entrepreneurs for our country.”

Dr. BVR Mohan Reddy, Chairman SCIENT Development Foundation, said, “India is now driven by technology. We are living in an age where emerging technology and innovation are leading a new generation of entrepreneurs. Many start-ups are taking advantage of technology, which in turn is creating employment for thousands. BVR SCIENT school, along with Department of Entrepreneurship & Management of IITH would nurture Bachelors, Masters, Executive Education, PhD programs, and Certification courses, and will facilitate new venture creation, venture finance, intellectual property, and negotiation skills. The school will create an ecosystem of innovators who identify challenges and create solutions. BVR SCIENT will take leverage and access to various departments in IITH and their technical knowledge and expertise.”

Prof B S Murty, Director, IITH, said, “We are very happy Cyient Foundation has started BVR SCIENT at IITH. Dr. Mohan Reddy has been shaping IITH for the last decade and to the best of my knowledge, he is the only Chaiman Board of Directors of an IIT who has taught at that IIT. He has demonstrated his passion by not only teaching a course on Leadership for the Minor in Entrepreneurship at IITH but also setting up SCIENT. This is only possible with passion and commitment. With BVR SCIENT, we will move towards creating thousands of entrepreneurs who can create lakhs of jobs to transform the country. We need to make India not only Atma Nirbhar but a global leader.”
