This was subsequently followed by “The Wish Tree”, whereby an amount of Rs.51000/- was raised by the students to make the wishes of NGOs, children from the less privileged sections of the society and other beneficiaries come true. Dosa and chat stalls were set up in the campus and money raised from them was also added to the contributions. Students enthusiastically savoured the delicacies in an attempt to contribute.

To add a festive touch to the celebration that is Daan-Utsav, Jam Street was organized in Bishtupur, on the early hours of Sunday (7th October 2018) where the dramatics team of the college performed “Nukkad Naatak” to create awareness about the joy in giving. Visits to Nirmal Hrudaya and Cheshire home by student volunteers from XLRI were icing on the cake of the entire week as interacting with the people from these places evoked feelings of gratefulness and served as a well-deserved break from the hectic B-school grind.

‘Serving those who serve us” was organized where student volunteers served lunch to the housekeeping, security and helping staff of XLRI. A “Health Check-up Camp” in association with Meditrina Hospital, Adityapur, where the staff and sub-staff of XLRI went through a complete basic health check-up was organized.
