Daylong awareness programme on ‘Aap Ki Zameen, Aap ki Nigrani’ held at Budgam

 

BUDGAM : A workshop cum awareness programme on Land Record Information system (Aap Ki Zameen, Aap ki Nigrani) was today organized by District Administration Budgam in collaboration with Revenue Department at Sheikh-ul-Alam Hall, Budgam.

Addition Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Budgam, Dr. Nasir Ahmed Lone, chaired the proceedings.

The day long workshop was attended by Vice Chairman DDC, Nazir Ahmad Jhara, Chairman BDC Gh. Hassan Khan, all DDC and BDC members, Sarpanchs and other PRI representatives, Lumbardars, Chowkidars and other participants.

On the occasion, awareness was raised among the participants about land information system available on designated portal http://landrecords.jk.gov.in through the medium of power point presentation and live demonstration by Tehsildar Headquarter, Rafiq Ahmad Jaral.

Dr Nasir said that through this portal a land owner can access his land records like Mussavi, Jamabandi, Girdawari, mutation etc. by a click of button. He added that the landowners can search and view copies of scanned data of their land records, eliminating delay, cumbersome procedure and ensuring transparency and accountability at the same time.

Earlier, the ACR Budgam, Shabir Ul Hassan gave a detailed preview of this latest facility and said, this will prove a revolutionary initiative in letting any land owner having easy accessibility about his ownership status of the land he possess.

The other speakers on the occasion appreciated the initiative launched by the Government of U.T of Jammu and Kashmir, under which any citizen having any status can utilize the services without approaching Revenue office in person.

The workshop was also attended by SDM Khansahab and Chadoora, all tehsildars, BDOs, Naib Tehsildars, and other revenue officials.
