DC Anantnag reviews the status of SRTC complex; Directs Engineering wing to sort out the issues on priority
ANANTNAG: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Dr Piyush Singla today reviewed the progress on removal of bottlenecks of the under execution SRTC complex, here.
Director ULB Mathoora Masoom also participated in the meeting.
The DC insisted upon the officers concerned to sort out the issues like supplementary agreement, market escalation, project head change, contractors payment etc within weeks time so that further work on the project can be started .
Director ULB informed the DC that there has been substantial progress on the complex and assured her full support in streamlining the bottlenecks.
The meeting was attended by the President MCA, CEO MCA, CPO, Ex. Engineer R&B, AEE R&B among others.
Earlier, Dr Singla held a meeting with SE R&B, SE KPDCL, EOs of MC Anantnag, Mattan and Seer for making the street lights on KP Road functional. The DC said in the meeting that the Administration is committed to provide electricity during the winter season with minimum curtailment and the functioning of these street lights will ease the night movement of pedestrians and vehicles.
The EOs of the committees were directed to allocate funds for the functioning of lights in their jurisdiction.
President MCA, Hilal Shah said that Municipal Committee Anantnag has also initiated the process for construction of central verge dividers on the interior roads to reduce traffic congestion.
