DC Bandipora discuses Covid-19 containment measures with trade members
Bandipora: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad on Tuesday held an interactive session with the members of Traders Federation Bandipora to discuss the covid containment measures in the district.
During the meeting, threadbare discussion were held regarding the covid safety measures taken by the administration in the district and sought cooperation of the traders federation and general public regarding the same.
The DC appreciated the cooperation of the trade fraternity in implementing the covid lockdown in the district. He said the containment measures are the compulsion owing to the sudden surge in covid positive cases. He said the administration did not want economic activities to slow down but health is the priority of all and hence the lockdown was Inevitable.
He said that the traders have a key role in the battle against the new wave of Covid-19 and urged upon them to use their influence to ensure that every person follows the Covid-19 appropriate behavior, uses mask, maintains hand hygiene and keeps social distance while they are out.
On the occasion traders informed the DC about the issues faced by the trade community and sought his intervention for their resolution. They also assured full cooperation with the administration in the initiatives taken for containment of the covid19 spread.
Besides others, President Trade Federation, senior officers of the district were also present on the occasion.
